Air Arabia Flight Diverts to Mumbai, on Suspicion of Smoke in Cockpit System
An Air Arabia Airbus A320 flight, on its way from Sharjah to Kozhikode, was diverted to land in Mumbai on March 17, 2014, after the pilot suspected smoke in the aircraft’s cockpit.
The flight safely landed at Mumbai Airport, at 2:45 am. All 171 passengers and six crew members exited safely.
The thorough inspection of plane revealed that it was just a false alarm and there was no fault in the cockpit system.
