United Airlines Plane Diverts to Ireland due to Severe Turbulence
United Airlines flight UA-880 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport, County Clare, Republic of Ireland, on August 31st.
The Boeing 767-300 en-route from Houston, Texas, to London, England, encountered severe turbulence over Atlantic Ocean, prompting the crew to divert.
At least 12 passengers and 2 crew members suffered minor injuries.
The injured were taken to hospital.
The passengers were later accommodated in a replacement plane.
