Virgin Atlantic Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Gatwick Airport

Virgin Atlantic flight VS-89 had to return and make an emergency landing at Gatwick Airport, England, on July 27th.

The Airbus A330-300 plane took off for Saint Lucia but had to return shortly afterwards due to a hydraulic issue.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Saint Lucia

United Airlines flight UA-1643 had to return and make an emergency landing at Hewanorra International Airport, Saint Lucia, on December 30th.

The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Newark, New Jersey, but had to turn back after the crew failed to retract the landing gear.

The plane landed uneventfully. All one hundred and fifty people aboard remained safe.
