Etihad Airways Plane Returns to Philippines due to Smoke in Cabin

EtihadEtihad Airways flight EY-4234 had to return and make an emergency landing at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Pasay, Philippines, on August 30.

The Boeing 777-300 flying to Abu Dhabi, UAE, had to return due to smoke in its cabin.

The plane landed safely after dumping fuel.

No injuries were reported.

The plane landed safely. All 155 passengers aboard remained unharmed.

The Airbus A340, flying from Manila to Cebu, Philippines, had just climbed out of runway when the crew reported smoke indication in the cockpit, prompting the plane to return.

The plane landed safely.

All 254 people aboard remained unhurt.

The passengers were accommodated in a replacement plane.
