Air Canada flight AC-8788 made an emergency landing at Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Nova Scotia, Canada, on December 3rd.

The plane heading from Montreal to Saint John, Canada, was diverted after the crew noticed a mechanical issue.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Sky Lease Cargo flight KKE 4854 skidded off the runway after landing at Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Nova Scotia, Canada, on November 7th.

The incident happened when the Boeing 747 cargo jet was coming from Chicago, Illinois.

Four crew members aboard the plane sustained minor injuries and were taken to a hospital.

American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Halifax Stanfield International Airport

American Airlines flight AA-89 made an emergency landing at Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Canada, on August 1st.

The plane heading from Shannon Airport, Ireland, to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was diverted after smoke was noticed in the cabin.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

United Airlines Flight Diverts to Halifax, Canada

new-united-logoThe United Airlines Flight 999 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Canada’s Halifax Stanfield International Airport on the night of August 5.

The Boeing 777 was on its way to Brussels from Newark, New Jersey, when fire broke out on board. The pilot then decided to divert to Halifax which was the nearest airport at the time.

Firefighters were put on alert at the airport when the plane touched the ground safely at around 10 p.m. There were 233 people aboard; all of them remained unhurt.

According to Peter Spurway, the spokesperson of Halifax Airport Authority, the fire broke in a contained area of the aircraft and was extinguished before the plane landed.
