Small Plane Crash-Lands at Pensacola International Airport

A small plane crash-landed at Pensacola International Airport in Florida, on January 29th.

Authorities said the Cessna 177 plane sustained significant damage after it landed without its gear deployed.

There were two people aboard at the time; none of them was injured.

The cause of incident is being investigated.

Emirates Airlines Flight Returns to Dubai

EmiratesEmirates Airlines flight EK-147 had to return and make an emergency landing in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on August 20th.

The plane was heading to Amsterdam, Netherlands, when the passenger oxygen masks deployed, prompting the crew to turn back for an emergency landing.

The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.

Atlas Air Plane Emergency Escape Slide Hits House in Phoenix

A private Atlas Air plane’s emergency escape slide detached mid-air and fell on the top of a house in Mesa, Arizona, Phoenix, on March 30th.

The Boeing 767, heading to Sky Harbor Airport, Phoenix, was mid-air when the crew was told that the emergency slide over the right wing had deployed.

The plane landed safely, whereas the house suffered minor damage.

The incident is under investigation.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Russellville Municipal Airport

A small plane made an emergency landing at Russellville Municipal Airport, Arkansas, on December 20.

Authorities said the pilot requested an emergency landing after the plane’s landing gear failed to deploy.

The plane landed with the wheels up. The pilot, who was the the only one aboard, remained uninjured.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing at North Texas Regional Airport

A small plane made an emergency landing at North Texas Regional Airport, Grayson County, Texas, on December 1.

Authorities said the plane declared emergency after its landing gear failed to deploy.

The plane landed without incident after burning off excess fuel and both occupants, including the pilot and a U.S. Aviation Academy student, remained unhurt.

The aircraft sustained minimal damage.

Luxair Plane Crash-Lands in Germany; No Injuries Reported

LuxairLuxair flight LG 9562 had to return and make a gear-up landing at Saarbrücken airport, Germany, on September 30.

Authorities said the pilots of the Luxembourg-bound Bombardier Q400 aircraft decided to abort take off due to a cabin fire warning. The plane then landed on its underbelly because apparently the landing gear failed to deploy.

There were 16 passengers and 4 crew members aboard at the time; none of them was hurt.

According to an airline spokesperson, the passengers were transported to Luxembourg by road.

The FAA was investigating.
