Eva Air Plane makes Safe Landing in Philippines after Punctured Flaps

Eva AirEva Air flight BR-271 made a safe landing at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila, Philippines, on July 18th.

The Boeing 747-400 flying from Taipei, Taiwan had vacated the runway at a high speed, puncturing its right side flaps.

The plane landed safely.

UPS Plane makes Emergency landing in Alaska after Oil Leakage

UPSUPS flight 5X-63 made a safe emergency landing at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Anchorage, Alaska, on May 16th.

The Boeing 747-400, flying from Hong Kong, China, was flying above the Pacific Ocean when the crew notice a slow oil leakage from one of its engines. The crew had to shut the engine down before landing.

The plane landed safely.

No one was injured.

United Plane Returns to China due to Odour in Cabin

Virgin Atlantic Jet Diverts to London’s Gatwick Airport

Virgin AtlanticVirgin Atlantic flight VS-75 had to divert and make an emergency landing at London’s Gatwick Airport on September 14.

According to the airline, the Boeing 747-400 plane was en-route from Manchester, UK to Orlando, Florida, when it was diverted due to a ‘minor technical problem’.

The plane landed uneventfully after dumping extra fuel. There were 433 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.

The airline arranged a replacement aircraft for the passengers.
