SkyWest Airlines Flight Returns to Grand Forks After Bird Strikes

SkyWest Airlines flight OO-4751 had to return and make an emergency landing in Grand Forks, North Dakota, on August 18th.

The Canadair CRJ-200 plane took off for Minneapolis, Minnesota, but had to return shortly afterwards due to multiple bird strikes.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were thirty-three passengers and three crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

Swiss International Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Switzerland

Swiss International Airlines flight LX-1019 had to make an emergency landing in Zurich, Switzerland, on August 1st.

The Airbus A319-100 plane flying from Dusseldorf, Germany, was descending toward Zurich when the crew noticed minor brakes issues and requested emergency assistance.

The plane landed uneventfully. All thirty-three passengers aboard remained safe.

TAROM Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Romania

TAROMTAROM Airlines flight RO-637 had to return and make an emergency landing in Otopeni, Romania, on October 13th.

The plane took off for Satu Mare, Romania, but had to return shortly afterwards after its gear failed to fully retract.

The plane landed safely. All 33 people aboard remained unharmed.

Mistral Air Plane Returns to Italy due to Engine Shut Down

Mistral AirMistral Air flight AZ-1822 had to return and make an emergency landing at Trapani, Italy, on April 9.

The Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, en-route to Pantelleria, Italy, had to return due to an engine problem. The crew had to shut-down the engine mid-air.

The plane landed safely.

All 33 people aboard remained safe.

Two Killed after Small Plane Crashes in Texas

A single-engine plane crashed immediately after take off from Elmdale Airpark in Abilene, Texas, on March 1st.

Authorities said the two-seater Vans RV-6 experimental aircraft went down near the end of the runway.

There were two people aboard at the time; Both of them were killed in the crash. They were identified as James Estol Hathcock, 63, and Aaron T. Taylor, 33, both of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

The cause of crash is being investigated.
