Czech fighter jets were dispatched to intercept the plane and were able to communicate with the captain. The captain signaled about having technical issues due to which they were unable to communicate with the ATC.</p>
<p>The fighter jets from Germany, Belgium, and United Kingdom subsequently took over in their respective airspaces and escorted the plane until it safely landed at Heathrow airport.</p>

<p>According to a Ministry of Defence spokesperson, &#8220;Two RAF aircraft were training in Pembrey when one aircraft thought it had been struck by a bird…As a precaution the aircraft asked to land at the nearest airport which was Cardiff…There was no damaged discovered and both aircraft returned to the RAF Valley base in Anglesea.&#8221;</p>

<p>According to a British Airways spokesperson Michele Kropt, “It [the plane] landed safely and all passengers disembarked as normal.”</p>
