Qatar Airways Plane Hit by Water Tanker at Kolkata Airport

A Qatar Airways plane was hit by a water tanker at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, India, on November 1st.

The incident happened when passengers were boarding the plane that was scheduled to depart for Doha, Qatar.

The passengers were evacuated safely. The plane sustained substantial damage.

Fire Tanker Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Chico Municipal Airport

An aerial fire tanker made an emergency landing at Chico Municipal Airport, California, on June 30th.

The DC-7 Erickson Aero Tanker took off from Chico Airport but had to return shortly afterwards due to an issue with its hydraulics.

Three wheels caught fire as the plane landed on the airport.

All four crew members aboard remained safe.

U.S. Air Force Plane Makes Emergency landing at Monterey Regional Airport

A U.S. Air Force KC10 tanker plane made an emergency landing at Monterey Regional Airport, California, on December 8.

Authorities said the plane that took off from Travis Air Force Base, near Fairfield, requested an emergency landing due to smoke in cabin.

The plane landed safely. There were five crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.
