British airwaysBritish Airways flight BA-114 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia, Canada, on April 29th.

The Boeing 777-200, en-route to London, England, from New York, was mid-air when the crew detected burning odor in the cabin, prompting the plane to divert as a precaution.

The plane landed uneventfully.

All passengers onboard remained unharmed.

ExpressJet Plane makes Emergency Landing in Canada due to Flaps Failure

ExpressJetExpressJet flight EV-4121/UA-4121 had to make an emergency landing at Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Nova Scotia, Canada, on January 19.

The Embraer ERJ-145, en-route from Newark, New Jersey, had to be landed in emergency due to flaps failure.

The plane landed safely.

Everyone aboard remained unhurt.

Lufthansa A380 Diverts to Halifax due to Medical Emergency

LufthansaA Lufthansa jet had to divert and make an emergency landing at Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Nova Scotia, Canada, on January 25.

The Airbus A380, flying from Houston, Texas, to Frankfurt, Germany, was diverted after a passenger fell sick on-board.

The plane landed uneventfully.

The passenger was rushed to the hospital while the plane resumed its journey.

Air France Jet Makes Emergency Landing in Nova Scotia

Air FranceAir France flight AF55 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Nova Scotia, Canada, on November 17.

The plane was en-route from Washington, D.C. to Paris when the authorities received an anonymous bomb threat and decided to divert.

The plane landed uneventfully. All 262 passengers remained safe.

No explosives were found upon inspection.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing on I-8 in Arizona

A small plane made an emergency landing on Eastbound Interstate 8 near Stanfield, Arizona, at around 6:27 p.m. on November 11.

According to Tim Gaffney, director of administration for the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, the FAA informed the authorities about a small aircraft that sent a mayday signal and was descending.

The pilot, his wife and 10-year-old daughter remained uninjured.

The eastbound lanes were closed for traffic immediately after the incident but were re-opened at around 9:45 p.m.

The FAA will investigate.
