    Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Claremont Municipal Airport

    A small plane made an emergency landing at Claremont Municipal Airport, New Hampshire, on May 3rd.

    The plane was returning from Nashua, New Hampshire, when the pilot reported that he was unable to lower the landing gear. Airport authorities said in a new release, “After exhausting all possible remedies, the pilot advised that he would be attempting a landing with only the nose gear down and locked… The pilot came in on Runway 29 and set the plane down and it skidded to a halt.”

    The pilot, John Wilson, of Lebanon, New Hampshire, remained unharmed.

    Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport

    A small plane made an emergency landing at Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, Florida, on April 28th.

    The plane was flying from Belize to Tampa, Florida, when the pilot declared an emergency reporting that the left main gear wheel was missing.

    The plane landed safely. Chief Operating Officer of the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, Mark Stuckey, said, “Luckily when it did land, the aircraft did not catch fire, there were sparks but it safely skidded into the grass.”

    There were four people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

    TAME Airlines Plane Skids Off Runway in Ecuador

    TAMEA TAME Airlines plane skidded off runway at Cuenca Airport, Ecuador, on April 28th.

    The plane, performing flight EQ-173 from Quito, Ecuador, landed amid heavy rain and slided off the tarmac onto the grass.

    There were 87 passengers and 6 crew members aboard at the time; none of them were injured.

    The aircraft was substantially damaged.
