American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in El Paso

American Airlines flight AA-1897 made an emergency landing in El Paso, Texas, on June 3rd.

The Airbus A319-100 plane heading from San Antonio, Texas, to Phoenix, Arizona, was diverted after it sustained damage to the windscreen and nose cone due to a severe hail storm.

The plane landed safely. All one hundred and thirty passengers and five crew members remained uninjured.

Delta Airlines Plane Carrying Oklahoma City Thunder Dented En Route to Chicago

Delta Airlines flight DL-8935 apparently suffered a bird strike near Chicago Midway International Airport, Chicago, Illinois, on October 28th.

The Boeing 757-200 plane, performing a charter flight for the Oklahoma City Thunder, was descending toward Chicago when its nose cone sustained a dent.

The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

The airline suspects the damage was caused by a bird strike.

Turkish Airlines Flight Diverts to Canakkale After Hail Strike

Turkish Airlines flight TK-969 had to divert for an emergency landing in Canakkale, Turkey, on July 27th.

The Airbus A321-200 plane heading from Ercan International Airport, Cyprus, to Istanbul, Turkey, was diverted after a hailstorm caused damage to the nose cone and the windshield.

The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
