    United Airlines plane Diverts to Canada after Cracked Windshield

    United airlinesUnited Airlines flight UA-162 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Gander International Airport, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, on December 31.

    The Boeing 757-200, flying from Glasgow, Scotland, to Newark, New Jersey, had to divert after its windshield cracked mid-air.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 164 people aboard remained safe.

    United Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Newark

    United airlinesUnited Airlines flight 936 had to made an emergency landing at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, on August 16.

    The flight, heading from Washington Dulles International Airport to Zurich, Switzerland, was diverted as a precaution after 4 crew members reported breathing problems.

    The plane landed safely and was thoroughly inspected. Authorities said the sick flight attendants did not need medical attention after landing.

    The passengers were accommodated in other flights.

    United Airlines Plane Returns to Newark Liberty International Airport

    United airlinesUnited Airlines flight 922 had to return and make an emergency landing at Newark Liberty International Airport, New Jersey, on January 14.

    The flight departed for London Heathrow Airport at around 10 a.m. but had to turn back shortly afterwards after the crew reported smoke in the cabin.

    The Boeing 767-300 landed back uneventfully. All 84 passengers and 13 crew members remained unharmed.

    Airline spokesperson Rahsaan Johnson said, ‘We cancelled the flight so our maintenance team could service the aircraft, and we provided customers alternate flights to their destinations.’
