A small plane crashed into trees on FM 696 East in Lee County, Florida, at around 6:30 P.M. on September 27.
The pilot was found dead on the scene. It is believed that he was the only person aboard.

A small plane crashed at 2143 County Road 305 in Lee County, Texas, before 10 a.m. on November 23.
The accident happened when the Aero Commander 500 was heading from Hooks Airport, Spring to Austin Executive Airport.
Authorities said the pilot of the plane, identified as Daniel Disbrow, 63, of Magnolia, Houston, was killed in the crash. Disbrow was a Galveston County sheriff’s deputy from 1976 to 1988.
The plane is registered to a Spring-based aerial photography company, Aerial Viewpoint.
The cause of crash is under investigation.
