Saudi Arabian Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Scotland

Saudi Arabian AirlinesSaudi Arabian Airlines flight SV-61 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Glasgow Prestwick Airport, Prestwick, Scotland, on March 31st.

The Boeing 777, en-route from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to Toronto, Canada, was mid-air when a passenger reportedly fell ill onboard, prompting the plane to divert to Prestwick.

The plane landed safely.

All passengers aboard remained unharmed.

Airblue Plane’s Tire Burst During Landing in Islamabad

Air BlueAirblue Airbus A321-200 narrowly escaped accident when one of its tires burst upon landing at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad, Pakistan, on March 4th.

The aircraft was coming from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, when one of the tires burst during landing. The plane tilted toward its side and the right hand engine touched the ground.

There were 230 passengers aboard the flight PA-271 at the time; all of them remained safe.

AirAsia Plane Diverts due to Medical Emergency

AirAsia ZestAn AirAsia plane made an emergency landing in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, on January 7.

Authorities said the plane, heading from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was diverted due to a medical emergency. It is believed that an elderly woman passenger suffered from severe chest pain mid air.

The plane landed safely. All 286 passengers remained unhurt.

The 71-year-old passenger was rushed to a hospital in Guindy, along with two attendants.

The flight resumed after half an hour.

Saudi Cargo Jet Diverts to Cairo International Airport

A Saudi cargo plane had to divert and make an emergency landing at Cairo International Airport, Egypt, on December 3.

The plane was heading from Italy to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, when the pilot noticed that the fuel level is alarmingly low and decided to divert.

The plane landed safely.

Authorities said the plane was able to resume its journey after refuelling.

Saudi Arabian Airlines Jet Makes Emergency Landing Due to Technical Failure

Saudi Arabian AirlinesSaudi Arabian Airlines flight 060 had to make an emergency landing in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 3.

The Boeing 777 was heading from Toronto, Canada to Riyadh when the pilot requested an emergency landing due to technical failure.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 301 passengers aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

The airline arranged a replacement aircraft for the passengers.
