Two F15 Jets Make Emergency Landing at Huntsville International Airport

Two F15 jets made an emergency landing at Huntsville International Airport, Alabama, on October 28th.

The planes were flying from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, to Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, when one of them experienced mechanical issues.

The planes were diverted to Huntsville where they landed safely.

All crew members aboard remained unharmed.

F-15 Fighter Jet Makes Emergency Landing in Tulsa

An F-15 fighter jet had to make an emergency landing at Tulsa International Airport, Oklahoma, on April 14th.

The plane was one of the two returning from a training session at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina. Authorities said the pilot decided to divert due to a “minor system malfunction.”

The plane landed uneventfully. No injuries were reported.

F-15 Jet Lands in Emergency at Frenso Base

An F-15 fighter plane had to make an emergency landing at the 144th Fighter Wing’s Air National Guard Base in Frenso, California, on December 19.

The jet took off for a routine training flight, however, it had to land back in emergency due to a landing gear malfunction. Col. Clay Garrison, a 144th Fighter Wing commander, said the plane’s wheel failed to retract after it took off and therefore, an arresting gear was employed to help it land safely.

The pilot remained uninjured.

The aircraft was taken for examining the cause of landing gear malfunction.
