ExpressJet Flight Rejects Takeoff From Atlanta

ExpressJet flight EV-5508 had to reject takeoff from Atlanta, Georgia, on August 9th.

The Canadair CRJ-900 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Tulsa, Oklahoma, when the crew reported a blown tire and rejected takeoff.

The plane was disabled on the runway and had to be towed off.

Everyone aboard remained safe.

Eva Air Cargo Plane makes Safe Landing in Taiwan

Eva AirEva Air Cargo flight BR-682 made a safe emergency landing at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Taoyuan City, Taiwan, on September 3rd.

The Boeing 747-400 flying from Shenzhen, China, had just landed when the crew faced difficulties in its control.

The aircraft became disabled after landing and turned off with all its tyres and main gear deflated.

All people aboard remained safe.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Tulsa

A Cessna 172SP plane made an emergency landing in a field along 41st Street and Lynn Lane in east Tulsa, Oklahoma, on January 11.

The pilot decided to make an emergency landing after the plane, that took off from Jones Riverside Airport, developed an engine problem. According to Terry Maurer with the Tulsa Police Department, the pilot first thought of landing at Harvey Young Airport but it is surrounded by a residential area and “he didn’t want to try and land a disabled plane around a residential area.”

The plane landed safely. The pilot Zach Prewitt, who is a flight instructor at the Christiansen Flight School, Jones Airport, remained uninjured.

The FAA is investigating.

Peruvian Airlines Plane Makes Hard Landing in Peru

Peruvian airlinesPeruvian Airlines flight P9-216 had to make a hard landing at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, Cusco, Peru, on October 23rd.

The Boeing 737-300 flying from Lima, Peru, right side gear collapsed, leaving it disabled on the runway.

The passengers were evacuated via slides.

Everyone aboard remained safe.
