    Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing on Interstate 95 in Florida

    A Piper Cherokee PA-28 plane made an emergency landing on Interstate 95 in Vero Beach, Florida, on January 30th.

    The pilot said he was forced to land in emergency due to fuel exhaustion. The plane was flying from St. Lucie County International Airport at the time.

    The pilot, who was the only one aboard, remained unharmed.

    The incident is under investigation.

    Small Plane Crash-Lands in Stafford County; Pilot Injured

    A small plane crash-landed near Interstate 95 in Stafford County, Virginia, on June 6th.

    The state police said in a statement, “A single-seat, experimental aircraft was conducting a high-speed taxi on the runway of the Stafford Regional Airport, when the aircraft unintentionally lifted off the runway…The aircraft cleared the Centreport Parkway before crash-landing into an embankment alongside the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 at the 137 mile marker.”

    The pilot Roberta A. Boucher, 62, was seriously injured in the incident. She taken to Mary Washington Hospital.

    The incident is being investigated.

    JetBlue Flight Lands without Landing Gear in Bahamas

    JetBlueJetBlue flight B6-29 had to make an emergency landing at Lynden Pindling International Airport, Nassau, Bahamas on March 25.

    The Embraer ERJ, en-route from Washington, DC to Nassau, Bahamas was on approach to runway when the crew reported that the nose gear was inoperable, went around for a while and upon failing to retract the gear, attempted for a landing.

    The plane landed successfully.

    All 95 people aboard remained unharmed.
