FedEx Plane Makes Emergency Landing due to Pressurization Problem

FedExFedEx Express Flight 406 made an emergency landing at Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport, Kansas, on February 26th.

The Boeing 757, en-route from Portland, Oregon, to Memphis, Tennessee, when the crew reported a pressurization problem and requested an emergency landing.

The plane landed safely. There were two people aboard at the time; both of them remained unhurt.

Alaska Airlines Plane Diverts to Honolulu

wings of alaskaAlaska Airlines flight AS-862 had to make an emergency landing in Honolulu, Hawaii, on February 11.

The plane was heading from Kahului, Hawaii, to Portland, Oregon, when the crew decided to divert due to a fault in the auxiliary power unit.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 152 passengers and 6 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.

The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

Portland-Bound Alaska Airlines Plane Diverts to Eugene Airport

wings of alaskaAlaska airlines flight 2151 had to make an emergency landing at Eugene Airport, Oregon, on November 17.

The plane, heading from Seattle to Portland, had to be diverted after the pilot reported a mechanical issue.

The plane landed safely. There were 52 passengers aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

The airline arranged a bus that took passengers to Portland.

Delta Airlines Plane Returns to Oregon due to Over-speeding Engine

250px-Delta_logo.svgDelta Airlines flight DL-1831 had to return and make an emergency landing at Portland International Airport, Portland, Oregon, on October 30.

The Boeing 757-200, flying to Salt Lake City in Utah, had to return due to an engine problem. The right side engine of the plane had to be shut down as it was over speeding the aircraft.

The Plane landed safely.

All 169 passengers and 6 crew members aboard remained unhurt.

Cargo Plane Returns to Portland International Airport after Duck Strikes

A Boeing 757 cargo jet, flying for a DHL contractor, Air Transport, had to return and make an emergency landing at Portland International Airport, Oregon, on January 7.

The plane took off for Boeing Field, Seattle, shortly after 6:30 p.m. but had to turn back after atleast 5 northern pintail ducks hit it and caused engine troubles.

The plane landed uneventfully and no one aboard was injured. Authorities said 5 duck were found during cleaning.
