The plane was flying from Gatwick Airport in England, United Kingdom, when the crew declared a medical emergency. According to the airline, the pilot “requested a priority landing in Edinburgh due to a passenger requiring medical assistance.”

The plane landed uneventfully and was met by paramedics.

American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Los Angeles

American Airlines flight 564 made an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport, California, on February 11th.

Authorities said the plane, heading from San Jose, California, to Phoenix, Arizona, was diverted due to a mechanical issue.
