2 Dead in Central Japan Helicopter Crash
A helicopter crashed into a mountain forest in Kihoku, Mie Prefecture, Japan, at around 10:50 a.m. on March 6.
Authorities believe the 22-seater helicopter touched a power cable, sparking fire in around 200 to 300 square meters forest area.
Both occupants of the aircraft were killed in the accident. They were identified as 53-year-old Captain Yoshifumi and 41-year-old Yuki Fujimoto.
The incident is under investigation.
