3 Killed, 1 Injured After Small Plane Crashes in Switzerland

A Piper PA-28 plane crashed near the Diavolezza mountain in Switzerland, on August 4th.

The incident happened when the plane was transporting three teenagers who were participating in a week-long youth camp organized by Swiss Aero Club.

Three people, including the pilot and two 14-year old boys were killed in the crash. A 17-year-old girl was injured and was flown to a hospital in serious condition.

The cause of crash is being investigated.

Tour Helicopter Crashes in California; 3 Injured

A tour helicopter made a crash landing, hit 2 vans, and caught fire in the parking area of Santa Barbara Municipal Golf Club in California, in the afternoon of May 5th.

The four-seater Robinson R-44 was returning to the Santa Barbara Municipal Airport after a tour, when it developed a mechanical problem.

All three people aboard sustained injuries.

The FAA is investigating.

National Guard Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in New York

A New York Army National Guard helicopter made an emergency landing at the Chili Country Club in Scottsville, New York, on May 1st.

The UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter was on a routine training flight when its windshield cracked, prompting the pilot to declare an emergency.

The helicopter landed safely on the ninth hole fairway. All 5 crew members aboard remained safe.

Turkish Football Club Fenerbahce Plane Diverts to Budapest

borajetBoraJet flight YB-9907 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Budapest, Hungary, on October 19th.

The Embraer ERJ-195 plane heading from Istanbul, Turkey, to Manchester, England, was diverted after a bird hit it, causing a crack in the windshield.

The plane, that was carrying the members of Turkish football club Fenerbahce, landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

The airline arranged a replacement plane that safely transported the team to Manchester.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Oklahoma

A small plane made an emergency landing at Grove Municipal Airport, Oklahoma, on October 7th.

The Cessna 172 plane was flying from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Chicago, Illinois, when the pilot declared an emergency due an electrical fire onboard.

The plane landed safely. There were two people aboard at the time, including a father and son; both of them remained unharmed.

The plane belongs to Engineers Flying Club, Bethany, Oklahoma.

Manchester United’s Plane Makes an Emergency Landing in China

ManchesterManchester United’s plane had to make an emergency landing in Tianjin, China, on July 23rd.

The plane heading to Beijing, China, was diverted due to bad weather. The team was on its way to face Manchester City on July 25th.

The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained safe.

Club manager Jose Mourinho said at a news conference, “We were supposed to fly with two different planes, with half of us in one plane and half in the other… The ones in the first plane was lucky because we landed safely and were in the hotel to have dinner. The second group was unlucky. The plane was not good. They had to make an unscheduled landing for a couple of hours, and then they arrived in the hotel to have dinner at one o’clock in the morning. But they had it with a smile on their faces which is good.”

Two Killed as Small Plane Crashes into Lake Worth Mobile Home Park

A Piper Cherokee 180 aircraft crashed into Mar Mak Colony Club mobile home park in Lake Worth, Florida, on October 13.

Authorities said the plane went down while it was en-route from Orlando to Lantana, Florida.

Two people were killed in the crash, including the pilot and a person in the mobile home.

The NTSB is investigating the cause of crash.
