2 Escaped Injury after Helicopter Crashed on Frozen Black River
A 2-seat helicopter crashed on a frozen section of the Black River in northern New York on the afternoon of February 1.
The incident happened east of Watertown when the Gary Johnson, of Carthage, was taking a pleasure ride with his passenger Michael Rohr.
Both occupants of the helicopter survived the crash and were able to walk to a nearby road.
The accident is under investigation.
