    Batik Air Plane Rejects Takeoff From Kathmandu

    Batik Air flight OD-181 had to reject takeoff from Kathmandu, Nepal, on April 19th.

    The Boeing 737-900 plane was commencing takeoff for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, when the crew rejected takeoff at high speed due to a configuration warning.

    All one hundred thirty-two passengers and seven crew members remained unharmed.

    Two Injured After Batik Air Flight Hits Turbulence

    Batik Air flight ID-6890 encountered turbulence on the way to Kualanamu International Airport, Indonesia, on October 24th.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane was flying from Jakarta, Indonesia, when it hit severe turbulence that injured a passenger and a flight attendant.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. The injured were rushed to a hospital.

    Batik Air Plane Over-runs on Indonesian Runway

    Batik AirBatik Air flight ID-6380 over-ran the end of runway at Adisucipto International Airport, Yokyakarta, Indonesia, on November 6.

    The Boeing 737-900, flying from Jakarta, over-ran the runway and stopped later with its nose gear collapsed. The passengers had to be evacuated.

    The plane sustained significant damage.

    No injuries were reported.
