Lufthansa Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Canada due to Smoke in Cockpit
A Lufthansa flight had to divert and make an emergency landing at Gander International Airport, Gander, Newfoundland, Labrador, Canada, on October 18th.
The Boeing 747 en-route from Frankfurt, Germany, to Orlando, Florida, was mid-air when the crew reported smoke in the cockpit.
The plane landed uneventfully. All people onboard remained unharmed.
The passengers were accommodated in a replacement plane.
The incident remains under investigation.
