Lufthansa Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Frankfurt

Lufthansa flight LH-430 made an emergency landing in Frankfurt, Germany, on August 19th.

The Boeing 747-800 plane took off for O’Hare International Airport, Chicago, Illinois, but had to turn back after the crew noticed an engine problem.

The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Cargolux Airlines Flight Diverts to Vienna After Medical Emergency

Cargolux Airlines flight CV-856 had to divert for an emergency landing in Vienna, Austria, on January 11th.

The Boeing 747-800 plane flying from Luxembourg to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was diverted after the captain began feeling unwell and subsequently became incapacitated.

The plane landed safely. The captain was rushed to a hospital.

Polar Air Cargo Plane Diverts to Washington due to Medical Emergency

Polar AirPolar Air Cargo flight PO-214 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Seattle – Tacoma International Airport, Seattle, Washington, on April 22nd.

The Boeing 747-800 was flying from Nagoya, Japan, to Cincinnati, Kentucky, when it declared medical emergency mid-air, as the captain was incapacitated, prompting the plane to divert.

The plane landed uneventfully. The captain was taken to hospital.

Atlas Air Plane Returns to Miami International Airport

Atlas Air cargo flight 5Y-33 had to return and make an emergency landing at Miami International Airport, Florida, on February 17.

The Boeing 747-800 plane took off for Buenos Aires, Argentina, but had to return shortly afterwards after tire debris was found on the departure runway.

The perimeter road around the airport was closed for traffic while the plane, carrying 6 crew members, landed safely. No injuries were reported.

Lufthansa Flight Diverts to Iceland

LufthansaLufthansa flight LH-430 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Keflavik, Iceland, on December 10.

The Boeing 747-800, en-route from Frankfurt, Germany, to Chicago, Illinois, was diverted due to reports of electrical odor in cabin.

The plane landed safely. No injuries were reported.
