Bird-Hit AA Jet Diverts to Philadelphia International Airport
American Airlines Flight 1889 made an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport, Pennsylvania, on September 21.
The Airbus 319, en-route from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Hartford, Connecticut, had to be diverted after a bird struck its windshield.
The plane landed uneventfully. There were 114 passengers and 5 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.
The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.
