Pilot Killed after Helicopter Crashes in the Woodlands, Texas
A helicopter crashed in the back yard of a house in the Woodlands, Texas, at around 1 p.m. on January 16.
Authorities said the sole occupant of orange Safari Aero Sport Helicopter was killed in the crash. He was identified as Michael Gene Mims, 51, of Conroe. He was a businessman and deacon at the St. Anthony Padua Catholic Church.
No one on the ground was injured.
The NTSB and the FAA are trying to determine the cause of crash.
