Virgin Atlantic Jet Diverts to London’s Gatwick Airport
Virgin Atlantic flight VS-75 had to divert and make an emergency landing at London’s Gatwick Airport on September 14.
According to the airline, the Boeing 747-400 plane was en-route from Manchester, UK to Orlando, Florida, when it was diverted due to a ‘minor technical problem’.
The plane landed uneventfully after dumping extra fuel. There were 433 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.
The airline arranged a replacement aircraft for the passengers.
