Marine Corps Aircraft Crashes in Hawaii; One Killed, 21 Injured

A US Marine Corps aircraft crashed at Bellows Air Force Station on Oahu, Hawaii, on May 17.

The tilt-rotor MV-22 Osprey was on a training flight when it crashed and caught fire during a ‘hard landing’ attempt.

The aircraft was carrying 22 people at the time of incident, including 21 Marines and one Navy corpsman. Authorities said one Marine was killed while 21 other people sustained critical to minor injuries.

The cause of crash is being investigated.
