										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A single-engine Piper Cherokee had to divert and make an emergency landing at Province Lake Golf Course, Parsonsfield, Maine, at 7:50 A.M. on July 18.</p>
<p>The plane, en-route from Waterville/Kings County Municipal Airport, Canada, to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, had to be landed in emergency due to fog and heavy rain.</p>
<p>The plane landed safely. The sheriff&#8217;s department confirmed that the pilot, identified as Gary Soucy, 66, remained unhurt.</p>

<p>The incident happened when the plane was heading to Portland from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with 54 people aboard.</p>
<p>According to the Portland Fire Department spokesman Tim Nangle, the pilot of the CRJ 200 aircraft radioed the Portland tower at 8:35 p.m., and communicated that the flaps of the aircraft were not working properly.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A small plane made an emergency landing after running out of fuel on the evening of May 25 on a grass airstrip in Harpswell Neck, Maine. </p>
<p>The Washington D.C. -bound, single-engine plane landed in the area of Route 123, which is also known as Harpswell Neck Road and Basin Cove Road.  According to Lt. John Faith of Brunswick Fire department, the rescue unit responded immediately, but the occupants of the plane refused to be taken to the hospital.</p>
