Vintage Spitfire Makes Crash-Landing in Woodchurch Fields

The plane crashed when the 68-year-old pilot, identified as Rob Davies MBE, was trying to make an emergency landing due to engine failure.

The plane sustained significant damage.

The pilot remained safe and walked away after the crash.

Light Plane Carrying Actor Cliff Parisi Makes Emergency Landing at Manston Airport

Cliff ParisiA light plane carrying famous actor Cliff Parisi was forced to make an emergency landing at the Manston airport, located in Thanet District of Kent, England, shortly before the airport was scheduled to close.

With Parsi and two others on-board, the plane was on its way to France when the pilot discovered a technical problem. He then diverted the plane towards Manston airport and made an uneventful emergency landing Thursday morning.

Manston airport ceased operations a few hours later, at 17:00 BST, despite the offers made to its owners from various parties interested in buying it.

Parsi, best known for playing the character of Minty in Eastenders and Fred in Call the Midwife, thanked and showed his support for the airport in a tweet.

“Just had an emergency landing at Manston air field thank God they are open today tomorrow they are closed for ever #savemanston”, said Parsi.
