    Wideroe Flight Diverts and makes Emergency Landing in Norway

    WideroeWideroe flight WF-276 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Torp Sandefjord Airport, Sandefjord, Norway, on March28.

    The De Havilland Dash 8-400, en-route from Kristiansand, Norway to Copenhagen, Denmark, was mid air when the crew reported problems with the AC generators, prompting it to divert.

    The plane landed uneventfully.

    All 43 passengers onboard remained unharmed.

    The passengers were accommodated in a replacement plane.

    British Airways Flight Diverts to Shannon Airport

    British airwaysBritish Airways flight BAW-215 had to divert to Shannon Airport in Ireland, for an unscheduled landing on November 21.

    The Boeing 777-200ER was on its way from London Heathrow to Boston when the crew reported a technical issue. It is believed that the one of the aircraft’s generators stopped working and the backup unit had to be used.

    The plane dumped fuel to shed off extra weight and landed safely at Shannon airport at 6:58 p.m.

    Engineers examined the aircraft after which it was able to resume its journey shortly after 9 p.m.
