<p>The pilot was killed in the crash while the passengers were taken to hospital with serious injuries. Spokesperson of Indonesia&#8217;s national police Agus Rianto said, &#8220;We have evacuated the passengers to the nearby city of Nabire so they could get medical treatment.&#8221;</p>

<p>The pilot decided to make an emergency landing due to reports of smoke in the Maryland-bound aircraft’s cabin. Four passengers and a crew member sustained minor injuries while exiting through evacuation slides.</p>
<p>The airline told the FAA that the mechanics could not find any problem in the aircraft.</p>

<p>The private Senegalair aircraft was en-route from Burkina Faso to Dakar when it disappeared from the radar.</p>
<p>There were 7 people aboard at the time including a French patient, a doctor, 2 nurses and 3 crew members.</p>

<p>The plane, coming from Los Angeles, landed in Boise, Idaho at around 7 p.m.</p>
<p>According to an airline spokesperson, &#8220;Upon arrival at the gate, normal deplaning procedures were in progress during which a fuel smell was observed within the cabin…Passengers then initiated an evacuation through the over wing doors…A review of the incident confirmed that at no time were the passengers or crew members on board the plane in danger.&#8221;</p>

<p>Emirates Airlines flight EK 609 was pulled off the runway at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, just before takeoff at about 7:45 p.m. on October 4.</p>
<p>The Airbus 320 was ready to depart with 82 passengers aboard when the pilot detected smoke in the cockpit and called for emergency assistance. All the passengers and crew members were safely evacuated through chutes.</p>
<p>“All the passengers and crew members were evacuated and the plane has been parked on one side. No one was hurt,” said Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) spokesperson Pervez George.</p>

<p>Air Traffic Control (ATC) observed &#8220;dense smoke&#8221; coming out of the left-side lower portion of the Airbus A-320 after it landed at IGI Airport at about 3:30 p.m.then alerted the pilots and emergency services at the airport. All 154 people aboard the plane were evacuated using emergency slide-chutes.</p>
<p>Twenty-eight of 148 passengers suffered minor injuries during the slide evacuation, while the 6 crew members escaped unhurt.</p>
<p>Aviation regulator DGCA and the airline have initiated investigations.
