An Air Transat flight had to make an emergency landing in Montreal, Canada, on October 22.
The plane was en-route from Toronto, Canada to London, U.K. when its back door unsealed mid-air. According to a passenger Rachel Weissfeld, “The change in altitude…it was so fast that there were people who were in a lot of pain, like their ears were hurting, people were crying due to the pain, it was really awful.”
The plane landed safely.
The passengers were asked to remain seated and the airline served complimentary food and drinks.
The plane resumed the journey after some time.
