Cayman Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Grand Cayman Airport

Cayman Airways flight KX-505 made an emergency landing at Owen Roberts International Airport in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, on December 27th.

The Boeing 737-800 plane flying from O’Hare International Airport, Illinois, was descending toward Grand Cayman when the crew requested emergency assistance due to an unidentified odor in the cabin.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Cayman Airways flight KX-792 had to return and make an emergency landing at Owen Roberts International Airport in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, on November 26th.

The Boeing 737-300 plane took off for John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, but had to turn back due to issues with cabin pressurization system.

The plane landed uneventfully. All one hundred and twenty-one people aboard remained unharmed.

Cayman Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Grand Cayman

Cayman Airways flight KX-200 made an emergency landing in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, on September 14th.

The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Tampa, Florida, but had to return shortly afterwards due to problems with one of the engines.

The plane landed uneventfully. All one hundred and twenty-eight people aboard remained unharmed.

DHL Jet with Flammable Cargo Makes Emergency Landing in Cayman Islands

DHLA DHL cargo plane made an emergency landing at the Owen Roberts International Airport in Cayman Islands, at around 10:35 a.m. on February 18.

Authorities said the Boeing 757 plane was transporting flammable liquids from Miami to Costa Rica when one of its engines malfunctioned. The crew then shut down the faulty engine and diverted the plane for an emergency landing in Cayman Islands.

Roads near the airport were closed and firefighters were ready at the scene when the plane safely touched the runway. All 3 crew members aboard remained unharmed.
