Hawaiian Airlines Plane Diverts to Japan due to Issue in Hydraulic System

Hawaiian AirlinesHawaiian Airlines flight HA-442 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Narita International Airport, Narita, Tokyo, Japan, on July 28th.

The Boeing 767 en-route to Honolulu, Hawaii, from Sapporo, Japan, was mid-air when the crew detected some issue with its hydraulic system.

The plane landed uneventfully.

All 248 passengers and crew members onboard remained unharmed.

Atlas Air Plane Emergency Escape Slide Hits House in Phoenix

A private Atlas Air plane’s emergency escape slide detached mid-air and fell on the top of a house in Mesa, Arizona, Phoenix, on March 30th.

The Boeing 767, heading to Sky Harbor Airport, Phoenix, was mid-air when the crew was told that the emergency slide over the right wing had deployed.

The plane landed safely, whereas the house suffered minor damage.

The incident is under investigation.

United Airlines Flight Diverts to Shannon Airport

United Airlines flight 102 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport, Ireland, on February 12th.

The Boeing 767 plane, heading from Houston, Texas, to Munich, Germany, was diverted after the crew reported problems with one of the two engines.

The plane landed safely. There were 98 passengers and 13 crew members aboard; none of them were harmed.
