Small Plane Crashes Near Franklin Airport, VA

A small plane crashed near Franklin Municipal–John Beverly Rose Airport in Virginia, on December 10th.

The plane had just taken off from the airport when the pilot reported engine issues and decided to return.

However, the aircraft could not make it back to the airport and went down around 100 yards off Route 258.

There were two people aboard at the time, including the pilot Linda Mathias, 75, and passenger Paul L. Ruehrmund, 69. Both of them sustained minor injuries in the incident and were taken to Southampton Memorial Hospital.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Florida

A small plane made an emergency landing in Everglades in western Broward County, Florida, on March 16th.

Authorities said the plane was carrying two people when it landed on a levee near Sawgrass Recreational Park, east of U.S. 27 and north of Interstate 75.

Both occupants of the plane remained uninjured.

The cause of emergency landing is being investigated.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing on U.S. Highway 27

A small plane made an emergency landing on U.S. highway 27, just north of Interstate 75, in Weston, Broward County, Florida, on January 24.

The Cessna 172 was en-route from Palm Beach County to Key West when the pilot Arnaldo Santiago, of Palm Beach Gardens, noticed some issue in the plane and decided to land on the highway.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were three people aboard at the time; none of them were injured.
