Air Canada flight AC88 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Calgary International Airport in Canada, on December 30.
The plane, heading from Shanghai, China, to Toronto, Canada, was diverted after it encountered severe turbulence that injured some of the passengers.
The plane was carrying 332 passengers and 19 crew members at the time; 21 of them were taken to hospitals. According to the airline, eight of them were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries while the others were taken for observation.
