<p>The Airbus A319-100, heading from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, to Pittsburgh, was mid-air above Atlantic Ocean when it encountered turbulence, prompting the plane to divert.</p>
<p>The plane landed uneventfully.</p>
<p>The turbulence caused minor injuries to 5 out of 143 people aboard.
