<p>Delcy Rodriguez, Venezuela’s top diplomat, said, “Adverse weather conditions led to this unfortunate accident. We thank Colombian authorities who provided support to the officers.”</p>
<p>There were two people aboard the Bell helicopter at the time; including the pilot and the co-pilot. Both of them were injured in the crash. They were taken to hospitals in Venezuela.</p>

<p>The firm ‘Control Risks’ will start by inspecting the airports in Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh.</p>
<p>According to Egypt’s Civil Aviation Minister Hossam Kamal, “All Egyptian airports apply international standards in airport security… The air transport industry globally is facing several challenges… Airport security has risen to the top of these challenges, especially with the upsurge of terrorism in different parts of the world.”</p>

<p>The accident happened on the morning of May 17 when the plane was taking 20 people to Xieng Khouang to attend a military ceremony being held to celebrate 55th anniversary of one of the military divisions of Laos.</p>
<p>According to the Thai Defense Ministry&#8217;s permanent secretary, Nipat Thonglek, General Douangchay Phichit, who is the Deputy PM, and Thongbane Sengaphone the minister of public security, have been confirmed dead in the accident. Other deceased include the Governor of Vientaine, Sukan Mahalad and two other high ranked officials.</p>
