<p>The state police said in a statement, “A single-seat, experimental aircraft was conducting a high-speed taxi on the runway of the Stafford Regional Airport, when the aircraft unintentionally lifted off the runway…The aircraft cleared the Centreport Parkway before crash-landing into an embankment alongside the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 at the 137 mile marker.”</p>
<p>The pilot Roberta A. Boucher, 62, was seriously injured in the incident. She taken to Mary Washington Hospital.</p>
