<p>The incident happened when the planes were rehearsing for an international air show. Authorities said the Swiss F-5E air demonstration fighter jet crashed into a pond after the collision.</p>
<p>The pilot ejected from the plane before the impact and was not seriously injured.</p>
<p>The second plane sustained damage on the rear fin.</p>

<p>The Plaggio P180 was seen circling over San Jose and Willow Glen, and it was reported that there was a mechanical issue, due to which the crew opted for a crash landing.</p>
<p>The plane landed uneventfully.</p>
<p>It turned out that there was a problem with the rear landing gear.</p>

<p>Fire was sparked in the left rear brakes as the plane touched the runway.
