]]> A Jetstream 32 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Bonaventure Airport, Quebec, Canada, on March 30th.

The aircraft was carrying the late Canadian Parliament member Jean Lapierre’s brother-in-law from Montreal and was on its way to Magdalen Islands, when the crew encountered some problem with the engine, prompting the plane to divert.

The plane landed successfully.

All people onboard remained unhurt.

]]> A small plane crashed in the Magdalen Islands, Quebec, Canada, on March 29th.

The private plane, transporting Jean Lapierre, 59, a broadcaster and former Canadian transport minister, and his family members to his father’s funeral, went down while approaching the Iles-de-la-Madeleine Airport amid heavy winds and snow.

All seven people aboard, including the pilot, the co-pilot, Lapierre, and his family members, were killed in the crash.

The incident is being investigated.
