]]> Cathay PacificCathay Pacific flight CX-379 had to return and make an emergency landing at Chek Lap Kok Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong, China, on April 12th.

The Boeing 777-300 was en-route to Dusseldorf, Germany, when it had to return shortly afterwards after the crew reported some technical issue with the in-flight entertainment system.

The plane landed uneventfully.

All 269 passengers and 18 crew member onboard remained safe.

The passengers were accommodated in a replacement plane.

]]> A Ukrainian helicopter crashed near Stretavka village, in Zilina, eastern Slovakia, on November 13.

According to the Slovak Interior Minister Robert Kalinak, pilot of the Russian-made Mi2 “was doing dangerous manoeuvrs especially in very bad weather conditions because he was flying very low.”

Six people lost their lives in the crash.

The accident is being investigated.
