MAP Linhas Aereas flight PAM-5952 made a safe landing at Val de Cans International Airport, Belem, Brazil, on July 4th.

The Avions de Transport Regional ATR-42-300 flying from Altamira, Brazil, was about to land when the crew observed an unusual drag.

The plane landed safely.

All 24 passengers and 4 crew members remained unhurt.

On October 28, 2013, a CANAVIA Líneas Aéreas Piper PA-28RT-201T Turbo Arrow IV out of Gran Canaria airport was on a training night flight when it crashed.

The three people aboard died on impact which occurred in dense fog in the mountainous La Palma area. The same weather that contributed to the accident hampered recovery of the victims, Adonai Orihuela, Geraxane Urrutikoetxea Ormaetxe and the pilot Jerameel Mejías. In the night, the beacon was detected in Tamadaba, which assisted in the search the next day.

The remains were located in the Pinar de Tamadaba, between the ravine of La Palma and Palo. Canary Island 112, and the Emergency Coordination Center responded to the scene.

Two helicopters were on the scene to convey the victims’ remains to grancanario de Gáldar.

Canavia is a Canarian company .

Why: On landing, the plane went off the runway. The runway excursion did not cause delays at the airport. One person was slightly injured. At the time of landing, a tire burst and a landing gear broke, which caused the plane to skid off the runway.

Why: After the flight, on landing, the left main gear collapsed, causing the plane to veer off the runway.

The plane’s left propeller, engine and wing were damaged, possibly due to a hole in the runway.

Why: On landing at Ipatinga, the plane veered off the runway. On touch down, the landing gear came loose and was damaged. The pilot announced to passengers that the left hand propeller did not go into reverse due to a malfunction.

A replacement flight was provided to accommodate passengers flying through to Governador Valadares or Vitoria.

There were no injuries. No opinion has yet been issued on whether the damage was due to a high speed landing or other cause. ANAC is investigating.

Where: Porto Alegre
When: Dec 19th 2009
Who: 149 passengers
Why: While en route, the left engine developed problems and the crew shut it down. The crew diverted the plane to Porto Alegre and made an safe landing.
