										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Presidential aircraft of Ghana caught fire while taking off from the Kotoka International Airport, Accra, Ghana, on March 3.</p>
<p>Authorities to the Ghana Armed Forces, the &#8220;aircraft lost two main left wheels… In spite of the serious veering of the aircraft to the left, they managed to slow and successfully turned off the runway without veering into the shoulders of the runway. The aircraft stopped successfully.&#8221; </p>
<p>After the Falcon 900 stopped, fire was discovered at the left wheels. Fire extinguishers were employed to put it out.  </p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A plane, carrying the Bulgarian Prime Minister, had to make an emergency landing at Sofia Airport, Bulgaria, on the evening of February 11.</p>
<p>The governmental Falcon took off for transporting Prime Minister Boyko Borissov to Brussels, Belgium. However, its landing gear could not close due to a technical problem. </p>
<p>The plane made an uneventful emergency landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.</p>

On December 27, 2012, an Air National Guard Falcon lost power over Owens Dry Lake in Inyo County, California.</p>
<p>The Air National Guard pilot, who was on a training mission was the only one aboard. He ejected and the plane crashed.</p>
<p>There were no injuries.</p>
<p>The Air National Guard is handling the investigation, according to the <a href="http://www.petethomasoutdoors.com/2012/12/military-plane-crash-reported-at-owens-lake-in-eastern-sierra.html" target="_blank" data-wpel-link="external">Inyo</a> Sheriff&#8217;s department.</p>

<b>Why: </b> While en route, one of the Falcon&#8217;s engines failed.  On losing the engine, the pilot descended to a lower altitude and continued flying, diverting to Kufra where he made a precautionary landing landing.  </p>
