]]> A small plane crashed into a soggy field near Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa, California, on January 28.

Authorities said the plane, flying from Palm Springs to Santa Rosa, went down near the end of Wood Ranch Road.

Both occupants of the plane, including the pilot, Donald MacKenzie, 69, and his passenger, Marsha Gastwirth, 68, were killed in the crash.

The cause of crash is being investigated.
