]]> A single-engine Beechcraft carrying a family of three crashed at Hicks Air Field, north of downtown Fort Worth on April 13.

The plane crashed during an attempt to make emergency landing. The woman died on the spot, while the pilot, who was her husband, was injured along with their son. Their injuries are not life threatening.

Lonny Haschel, spokesman for the Department of Public Safety said that the family was flying from Arkansas to Fort Worth at the time of the incident.
